USA Olympians Shine at the Pan American Cup 2025 at 888 TTC in Burlingame!

BURLINGAME, CA – 888 Table Tennis Center (888 TTC) proudly hosted the ITTF Pan American Cup 2025, one of the most prestigious continental table tennis events in the Americas supported by Global Interantional Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) and by Interantional Table Tennis Federation of Americas (ITTF Americas). As a premier training ground for Team USA’s top athletes, 888 TTC provided the stage for world-class competition, bringing international excellence to the Bay Area.

U.S. Athletes Deliver Outstanding Performances

Representing their home training center, 888 TTC athletes made a remarkable impact, securing three podium finishes and reinforcing the venue’s reputation as a hub for elite table tennis.

  • Kanak Jha, a three-time Olympian (Paris 2024, Tokyo 2020, Rio 2016) and reigning U.S. National Champion, delivered a commanding performance, claiming victory over Canadian veteran Eugene Wang in a closely contested 4-3 match. Jha’s return to international competition after a year-long hiatus was met with overwhelming support from the home crowd, highlighting 888 TTC’s role in fostering high-level talent.
  • Lily Zhang, a six-time U.S. National Champion and four-time Olympian (Paris 2024, Tokyo 2020, Rio 2016, London 2012), demonstrated resilience and technical prowess, securing second place. Despite an arm injury, Zhang battled fiercely against Brazilian Olympian Bruna Takahashi, narrowly falling 4-3 in a thrilling final.
  • Amy Wang, a rising star and two-time U.S. National Champion, reinforced her position among the sport’s elite by claiming third place. Her performance underscored the depth of talent emerging from 888 TTC.

All three athletes will advance to the World Cup 2025 in Macao, China, where they will represent Team USA on the global table tennis stage.
