888 Table Tennis Center to Host U.S. Junior National Team Trials This Weekend

[May 24th, 2024] Burlingame, CA – The 888 Table Tennis Center, the newly designated U.S. National Training Center, is proud to host the U.S. Junior National Team Trials this weekend. This prestigious event will bring together over 190 of the best youth table tennis players from across the country, all under the age of 19, competing for a coveted spot on the national team.

The trials will determine the top four players in each age category, who will go on to represent the USA in international competitions, including the Pan Am Championships and World Championships. These young athletes are the future of Team USA for Table Tennis, showcasing their skills and determination in a bid to secure their place on the national stage.

Among the participants are standout players Nandan Naresh and Darryl Tsao. Nandan Naresh, an Olympic hopeful for LA28 and a proud member of Team 888, will be one to watch as he competes for a spot on the national team. His dedication and impressive track record make him a strong contender. Also competing is Darryl Tsao, a local talent from the Bay Area and a fellow Team 888 player. Tsao’s local roots and commitment to the sport have made him a formidable competitor in the junior ranks.

The event promises to be an exciting display of the best youth table tennis talent in the country. As these young athletes compete for national recognition and the chance to represent the USA, the 888 Table Tennis Center is honored to provide a world-class venue for this critical stage in their athletic careers.

“We are thrilled to host the US Junior National Team Trials at our center,” said Huifen Chan, owner of 888 Table Tennis Center. “This event not only highlights the incredible talent and dedication of these young players but also underscores the importance of fostering the next generation of table tennis champions. We are proud to support them as they strive to achieve their dreams.”
