SAN JOSE, Calif. — July 9, 2026 — The 2026 U.S. National Table Tennis Championships concluded at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center following seven exciting days of competition from July 3 through July 9.
Featuring more than 100 events, the championships brought together many of the strongest table tennis players in the United States. Athletes from 888 Table Tennis Center, a premier destination for table tennis training in the San Francisco Bay Area, delivered several outstanding performances in the men’s and women’s singles events.
The results reflected the athletes’ dedication, competitive preparation and commitment to developing their skills through high-level practice and professional table tennis coaching.
Darryl Tsao, Sid & Naresh Reaches Men’s Singles Quarterfinals
Sid Naresh delivered an impressive run to the men’s singles quarterfinals. He opened the tournament with a victory over fellow 888 athlete Victor Xie before defeating Kunal Chodri.
Naresh’s run came to an end against 6-time national champion Kanak Jha, but not before he challenged the nation’s top-ranked player in a highly competitive match.
Darryl Tsao also turned in a strong performance, reaching the men’s singles quarterfinals. Tsao defeated Krish Gandhi and Daniel Tran before falling to Jishan Liang in the match for a place in the semifinals.
Nandan Naresh matched that achievement with a quarterfinal appearance of his own. He earned victories over Krishnateja Avvari and Kef Noorani before being eliminated by Xiang Jing Zhang.
Nikhil Kumar Produces Stunning Run to the Final
Two-time national champion Nikhil Kumar delivered one of the most memorable performances of the tournament.
Competing in excellent form, Kumar defeated Jaden Jia in the opening round, followed by Andrew Cao and Ved Sheth. He then advanced past Xiang Jing Zhang in a thrilling semifinal that went the six games, with Kumar prevailing 4–2.
His performance earned him a place in the national championship match against Kanak Jha.
Kanak Jha Captures Seventh National Championship
Kanak Jha lived up to expectations as the No. 1-ranked player in the United States, navigating a challenging field on his way to the men’s singles title.
Jha defeated Lucas Wu, Nishant Lebaka, Sid Naresh and Jishan Liang to reach the final against Nikhil Kumar.
The championship match featured long rallies, momentum changes and high-level play from both athletes. Kumar applied significant pressure late in the contest, but Jha relied on his experience and composure to secure the victory.
With the win, Kanak Jha became a seven-time U.S. national champion, adding another historic achievement to his decorated career.
Three 888 Athletes Reach Women’s Singles Semifinals
The women’s singles competition was also a major success for 888 Table Tennis, with Amy Wang, Mendy Wang and Tiffany Ke all advancing to the semifinals.
Mendy Wang and Tiffany Ke completed the tournament with third-place finishes, while Amy Wang advanced to the championship match.
In the final, Wang faced Sally Moyland in a closely contested match. Although Moyland ultimately captured the title (4:2) , Wang displayed exceptional skill and determination throughout the competition and concluded the tournament with an outstanding runner-up finish.
The strong results across both the men’s and women’s events highlighted the talent, preparation and competitive spirit of the 888 Table Tennis athletes on one of the biggest stages in American table tennis.
